Povestea picaturii

A doua poveste:
"Vreau sa fiu libera" spuse picatura de apa din mijlocul Oceanului; si oceanul in compasiunea sa a ridicat-o la suprafata.
"Vreau sa fiu libera" spuse din nou picatura de apa si soarele auzindu-i glasul o aseza intr-un nor.
"Vreau sa fiu libera" spuse picatura inca o data si norul o elibera iar aceasta cazu din nou in Ocean.

A treia poveste:

A patra poveste:
"Nici o picatura nu are nici o valoare" spuse picatura din mijlocul Oceanului.

A cincea poveste:
"Fara nici o indoiala, exista un lucru de care eu mi-am dat seama, eu sunt mai importanta decat oceanul." Spuse picatura din ocean.

A sasea poveste:
"Nu voi putea niciodata sa ajung la Ocean" spuse picatura din Ocean.

A saptea poveste:
"Oh, ce-mi pasa mie de Ocean" spuse picatura din Ocean.

A opta poveste:

A noua poveste:

A zecea poveste:
"Prin puterea cu care am fost investita" spuse picatura din Ocean, "prin puterea cu care am fost investita, de astazi sunteti excluse din Ocean."

A unsprezecea poveste:
"Tu te afli in mijlocul iubirii mele" ii spuse Oceanul picaturii de apa. Dar picatura nu auzi Oceanul pentru ca era plina de iubire pentru alta picatura.

A doisprezecea poveste:
"Daca as putea cuprinde" gandi o picatura "fiecare picatura cu dragostea mea atunci as deveni Oceanul."

Fuckin' Robert McKee on the Art of Storytelling

"You have to think like an artist. If you know you’re in over your head, and that doesn't intimidate you, you might just make it. The hard part is getting in the chair and writing. It takes tremendous will power and discipline and the only way to defeat the fear is to gain the self-confidence that comes from knowing you've mastered the art form."

Stories are alive, conscious and responsive to human emotions and wishes

All the works of man have their origin in creative fantasy.
What right have we then to depreciate imagination ?
Carl Gustav Jung

The Writer's journey

The Hero's Journey and the Writer's journey are one and the same. Anyone setting out to write a story soon encounters all the tests, trials, ordeals, joys, and rewards of the Hero's Journey. We meet all of its Shadows, Shapeshifters, Mentors, Tricksters, and Threshold Guardians in the interior landscape. Writing is an often perilous journey inward to probe the depths of one's soul and bring back the Elixir of experience - a good story. Low self-esteem or confusion about goals may be the Shadows that chill our work, an editor or one's own judgemental side may be the Threshold Guardians that seem to block our way. Accidents, computer problems, and difficulties with time and discipline may torment and taunt us like Tricksters. Unrealistic dreams of succes or distractions may be the Shapeshifter who tempt, confuse, and dazzle us. Deadlines, editorial decisions, or the struggle to sell our work may be the Tests and Ordeals from which we seem to die but are Resurrected to write again.
But take hope, for writing is magic. Even the simplest act of writing is almost supernatural, on the borderline with telepathy. Just think : We can make a few abstract marks on a piece of paper in a certain order and someone a world away and a thousand years from now can know our deepest thoughts. The boundaries of space and time and even limitations of death can be transcended.

For Us The Bell Tolls

A Warm Embrace - The Great Bell Chant (The End of Suffering) .

Seattle, Chief

Whatever befalls the earth befalls the son of the earth. Man did not weave the web of life; he is merely a strand of it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.

Buddha quotes

It is better to travel well than to arrive.
Buddha

All wrong-doing arises because of mind. If mind is transformed can wrong-doing remain?
Buddha

Just as a candle cannot burn without fire, men cannot live without a spiritual life.
Buddha

Just as treasures are uncovered from the earth, so virtue appears from good deeds, and wisdom appears from a pure and peaceful mind. To walk safely through the maze of human life, one needs the light of wisdom and the guidance of virtue.
Buddha

No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path.
Buddha

Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without.
Buddha

The foot feels the foot when it feels the ground.
Buddha

The mind is everything. What you think you become.
Buddha

The only real failure in life is not to be true to the best one knows.
Buddha

The tongue like a sharp knife... Kills without drawing blood.
Buddha

The virtues, like the Muses, are always seen in groups. A good principle was never found solitary in any breast.
Buddha

The way is not in the sky. The way is in the heart.
Buddha

The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed.
Buddha

The wise ones fashioned speech with their thought, sifting it as grain is sifted through a sieve.
Buddha

There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting.
Buddha

There has to be evil so that good can prove its purity above it.
Buddha

There is nothing more dreadful than the habit of doubt. Doubt separates people. It is a poison that disintegrates friendships and breaks up pleasant relations. It is a thorn that irritates and hurts; it is a sword that kills.
Buddha

Those who are free of resentful thoughts surely find peace.
Buddha

Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.
Buddha

To be idle is a short road to death and to be diligent is a way of life; foolish people are idle, wise people are diligent.
Buddha

To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one's family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one's own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.
Buddha

A jug fills drop by drop.
Buddha

All that we are is the result of what we have thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.
Buddha

An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your mind.
Buddha

Better than a thousand hollow words, is one word that brings peace.
Buddha

Chaos is inherent in all compounded things. Strive on with diligence.
Buddha

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.
Buddha

Do not overrate what you have received, nor envy others. He who envies others does not obtain peace of mind.
Buddha

Even death is not to be feared by one who has lived wisely.
Buddha

Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love; this is the eternal rule.
Buddha

He who loves 50 people has 50 woes; he who loves no one has no woes.
Buddha

Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship.
Buddha

Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.
Buddha

However many holy words you read, however many you speak, what good will they do you if you do not act on upon them?
Buddha

I do not believe in a fate that falls on men however they act; but I do believe in a fate that falls on them unless they act.
Buddha

I never see what has been done; I only see what remains to be done.
Buddha

In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.
Buddha

In the sky, there is no distinction of east and west; people create distinctions out of their own minds and then believe them to be true.
Buddha

It is a man's own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways.
Buddha

To keep the body in good health is a duty... otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.
Buddha

To live a pure unselfish life, one must count nothing as one's own in the midst of abundance.
Buddha

Unity can only be manifested by the Binary. Unity itself and the idea of Unity are already two.
Buddha

Virtue is persecuted more by the wicked than it is loved by the good.
Buddha

What is the appropriate behavior for a man or a woman in the midst of this world, where each person is clinging to his piece of debris? What's the proper salutation between people as they pass each other in this flood?
Buddha

Whatever words we utter should be chosen with care for people will hear them and be influenced by them for good or ill.
Buddha

When one has the feeling of dislike for evil, when one feels tranquil, one finds pleasure in listening to good teachings; when one has these feelings and appreciates them, one is free of fear.
Buddha

Without health life is not life; it is only a state of langour and suffering - an image of death.
Buddha

Work out your own salvation. Do not depend on others.
Buddha

You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection.
Buddha

You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger.
Buddha

Speak or act with an impure mind
And trouble will follow you.
Buddha
Dhammapada.

Speak or act with an pure mind
And happiness will follow you
As your shadow, unshakable.
Buddha
Dhammapada.

Better than a thousand hollow words
Is one word that brings peace.
Better than a thousand hollow verses
Is one verse that brings peace.
Buddha
Dhammapada.

There is no fire like passion
No crime like hatred,
No sorrow like separation,
No sickness like hunger,
And no joy like the joy of freedom.
Buddha
Dhammapada.

It is better to conquer yourself
Than to win a thousand battles.
Then the victory is yours.
It cannot be taken from you,
Not by angels or by demons,
Heaven or hell.
Buddha
Dhammapada.

Master your words.
Master your thoughts.
Never allow your body to do harm.
Follow these three roads with purity
And you will find yourself upon the one way,
The way of wisdom.
Buddha
Dhammapada.

The fragrance of sandalwood and rosebay
Does not travel far.
But the fragrance of virtue
Rises to the heavens.
Buddha
Dhammapada.

Therefore, be ye lamps unto yourselves, be ye a refuge to yourselves. Hold fast to Truth as a lamp; hold fast to the truth as a refuge. Look not for a refuge in anyone beside yourselves. And those, who shall be a lamp unto themselves, shall betake themselves to no external refuge, but holding fast to the Truth as their lamp, and holding fast to the Truth as their refuge, they shall reach the topmost height.
Buddha
Mahaparinibbana Sutta.

Never speak harsh words
For they will rebound upon you.
Angry words hurt
And the hurt rebounds.
Like a broken gong.
Buddha
Dhammapada.

Let go of anger.
Let go of pride.
When you are bound by nothing
You go beyond sorrow.
Buddha
Dhammapada.

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.
Buddha
Kalama Sutta.

Think: Happy, at rest,
may all beings be happy at heart.
Whatever beings there may be,
weak or strong, without exception,
long, large,
middling, short,
subtle, blatant,
seen & unseen,
near & far,
born & seeking birth:
May all beings be happy at heart.
Buddha
Karaniya Metta Sutta.

As a mother would risk her life
to protect her child, her only child,
even so should one cultivate a limitless heart
with regard to all beings.
With good will for the entire cosmos,
cultivate a limitless heart:
Above, below, & all around,
unobstructed, without hostility or hate.
Whether standing, walking,
sitting, or lying down,
as long as one is alert,
one should be resolved on this mindfulness.
This is called a sublime abiding
here & now.
Buddha
Karaniya Metta Sutta.

Give thanks
For what has been given to you,
However little.
Be pure, never falter.
Buddha
Dhammapada.
